We will provide a camp t-shirt on the first day of camp and if your child wears  a pair of shorts, sweatpants or joggers, they will be  will be comfortable! We are a NON-CONTACT camp so not pads or helmets, etc. are needed.

We will be on turf so either cleats or sneakers are good options.

If your child is comfortable with a mouth guard, they are more than welcome to bring it.

We have hydration stations scattered around the playing fields with cups for the kids to grab a cup of water whenever they need it. If your child wants to bring a water bottle, we ask that it is clearly marked with their name as every year we have LOTS of lost water bottles that we need to re-home after camp.

There is no shade at John Venezia Community Park fields so YES, please apply sunscreen to your child before they arrive at camp. We have sunscreen at camp in the event that they feel that they need to reapply.

The NFL players will be on the field coaching the drills and the kids rotate from drill to drill so they have interactions with all of the NFL players. We will have onsite autograph sessions on Monday and Tuesday at the end of the of camp day. If your child has something special that they would like autographed, we ask that you bring it when you pick them up as footballs, catching gloves, etc look similar and things can get mistakenly picked up and when your child can not find their item, they are sad, you are sad and we are sad that a personal item can not be found!

If your child would like pics with the players during the autograph session, you are more than welcome to take them.We will also have an event called MEET THE PROS held at Back East Bar and Grill on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 6:30pm-8:00pm for the community to meet our NFL athletes, have items signed, get pics, etc from the players who will be at camp! THIS is a good option if you do not want to stand in the autograph lines at camp.

PLEASE do not bring anything valuable to camp as we are responsible if an item gets misplaced/lost. 

If your child needs to bring a phone to camp, we ask that they bring it in a bag with their name clearly marked on the bag as bags look similar and can be mistakenly picked up by another camper. 

We will have music playing so PLEASE leave all headphones and speakers at home!

Your child can bring personal gear such as catching gloves if they would like BUT these are the TOP item that gets lost/mistakenly taken when laid down-kinda like a black suitcase in baggage claim .

We do invite parents to watch BUT from the perimeter of the field outside of the fence due to insurance guidelines. You are welcome to bring blankets to sit on the grassy berm. Please be aware that there is limited shade around John Venezia Community…you can bring a shade umbrella for sitting on the grassy berm. Pets are welcome along the paths around the park BUT not allowed on the field! Please be aware that there is limited shade around John Venezia Community Park for your pet!!

Campers need to wear closed toe shoes such as cleats or sneakers.

Colored sports drinks are NOT allowed on the fields per our contact with Colorado Springs Parks and Rec.

If your child would like to wear a hat during camp, they are more than welcome to. We ask that they be responsible for it as we can not be responsible for it if they set it down and it gets misplaced/lost.

MOST kids have the NFL athletes sign their camp T-shirt with the Sharpies that we provide at the autograph tables. If your child would like something else signed, we ask that you bring it when you pick them up so it does not get lost or mistakenly picked up-that makes your child sad, you sad and we are sad which is not a good way to end a camp day!
